This research work focused on carrying out an analysis for the creation of a company dedicated to the industrialization and marketing of frozen potatoes in the Chambo canton, province of Chimborazo. Its main objective was to evaluate the viability of the project from the productive, technical, administrative, legal and economic perspectives, thus seeking to contribute to the economic development of the canton. A theoretical framework was used that addresses key aspects related to the industrialization and commercialization of frozen potatoes. The review of the literature made it possible to substantiate the identified variables, providing a comprehensive solution to the problem posed and guaranteeing that the decisions made were based on evidence and prior knowledge. In addition, a methodology was implemented that included techniques and tools, such as surveys directed at farmers and consumers. This process resulted in a significant diagnosis of the demand for the product, as well as a market study that showed notable interest and positive acceptance towards frozen potatoes, suggesting promising potential in the sector. The financial evaluation, which included the break-even point, return on equity (ROE), discount rate and net present value (NPV) of $42,356.32, along with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 30 % and a cost-benefit analysis of $1 for every dollar invested, confirms the viability and profitability of the project throughout the five years analyzed, indicating that the company will generate significant profits and support the investment and development of this initiative.
