Abstract

This paper describes a technological and innovative solution to guarantee access and use of interactive education, training and integral formation programs in Amazonian, rural and insular regions of Ecuador. This implementation is called Learning Tree, and constitutes an autonomous technological device that integrates intelligent education, renewable energy, artificial intelligence and a proprietary methodology to articulate technology and learning progress. This initiative, the only one of its kind in the world, allows the management of its own wifi network, training courses organized by categories and routes, a training area based on simulators and games, downloading of digital resources, general competencies, and a personalized virtual learning environment to offer general training programs, undergraduate, graduate and continuing education. In addition, it includes a weather station to survey the environment, and built-in ports for charging smart devices. The project has a relevant, strategic and positive educational, social and environmental impact, aimed at combating the educational gap and digital illiteracy in Ecuador and Latin America. Its implementation promotes education without borders and demonstrates that digital inclusion is possible in areas of silence, without being a threat to flora and fauna
